i was going through a hundred photos a friend sent about two years ago and noticed a smudge on my computer screen, then a second and a third. click on the objects to enlarge them and tell me what they are.
This must be the mystery photo. I think it's just gunk inside your friend's camera (assuming it was film, and not digital) that affected the negatives, or, it could be indeterminate debris floating down from the sky.
