this lady we called the garlic lady. she had some other things, but we bought the garlic from her. i don't think there was anything wrong with her particularly, she may have been very sensitive to the light, that's how i remember her.
The way you've painted her, I wonder what she might say if she could open her eyes. I like your technique in this painting- the use of color and line, and the way the background colors work with her face and her clothing.
